How V&G works

Find your focus. Work through what matters. Keep building from what you learn.

Victory & Grace brings the different parts of growth together in one connected system. Find a useful focus, work through it using a Playbook, carry forward what matters, and return as things change.

V&G for Teams is available now. Individual is coming next, followed by Organisation.

Your Team Hub

One place to keep the work connected.

When you join V&G for Teams, your team gets its own Team Hub. It brings together what you're working on now and what you've chosen to carry forward, so useful work doesn't disappear between conversations.

From the Hub, your team can find and work through Playbooks, use Pathfinder when you need help choosing a focus, and return to your Actions, Practices, Decisions, Learning, and Team References over time.

1. Find your focus

Start with what matters now

Pathfinder helps you take stock of where things are now and see where attention could make the biggest difference.

It looks across V&G’s four connected Dimensions: Foundations, Readiness, Direction, and Action. It helps you see what is already strong, what may need attention, and which Playbooks could be useful next.

Already know what you want to work on? You don't have to use Pathfinder first. Go straight to a Playbook and start there.

2. Work through a Playbook

A clear way to work through what matters

Every Playbook uses the same five steps. The topic changes, but the structure stays familiar.

1. Orient

Understand what deserves attention and why it matters.

Get clear on what this Playbook is about, what it will help you do, and why it may be useful right now.

2. Expand

Learn enough to see more clearly.

Build your understanding through the key ideas, evidence, and distinctions that matter for this topic.

3. Apply

Bring the thinking into your team's reality.

Use what you’ve learned to understand a real situation, do useful work together, and create something practical.

4. Clarify

Make sense of what you've learned.

Step back from the work, name what is clearer now, what matters most, and what is still unresolved.

5. Embed

Decide what should continue.

Choose what is worth carrying forward and give it a place in what happens next.

For Teams, Orient and Expand give people time to prepare individually before the team comes together. Apply is the main shared working session. Clarify and Embed help the team make sense of what it has learned and decide what to carry forward.

3. Carry forward what matters

The useful work doesn't disappear when the Playbook ends

At the end of a Playbook, your team decides what is worth carrying forward.

Every Team Playbook creates a Team Reference: the shared approach, agreement, decision rule, or way of working your team wants to keep and return to.

Where useful, the team can also carry forward an Action, Practice, Decision, or Learning. Your Team Hub keeps these things visible and connected, so they can become part of what happens next rather than disappearing once the Playbook ends.

3. Return when it helps

You can return without starting again

Things change. Priorities shift. New pressures and opportunities emerge.

V&G is designed so your team can return to what you have already learned, see what still fits, and choose where to focus next.

The thinking behind V&G

Want to understand the methodology?

The V&G methodology sets out how we think about growth: the relationship between Victory and Grace, the three Pathways, four connected Dimensions, and the growth path built into every Playbook.
